Some news about George' s Christening

It seems that William and Kate are keeping with tradition because George's Christening is expected to take place in the Music Room at Buckingham Palace, where William was baptized.
Probably the Christening won't be until Autumn when the Queen has returned from her holiday in Scotland and Buckingham Palace has closed to the public.
The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, will conduct the service.
George will be all wrapped up in a replica lace-and-silk robe that was designed for King Edward VII in 1841. 
The original was replaced in 2008 because after over a century of use it had gotten old.
ABOUT CHRISTENING GIFTS Cousin of William India Hicks has created some special jewelry and is set to send the littlest prince a set of cufflinks.
The jewelry is monogrammed with the letter G.

Kate & William want charity donations and no gifts for George

No gifts for baby George.
William and Kate have expressed their gratitude for the gifts they have already received, but have asked peolpe to donate to charity.
No flowers, toys or clothing.
The new parents have specified the Imperial College Healthcare Charity for those who wish to give donations. Their charity raises and manages charitable funds for all five hospitals within Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, including St Mary's Hospital in Paddington, where Kate gave birth.
"Your donation to this charity would help women, their newborn babies and young families from London, across the UK and beyond to benefit from the latest research to ensure they receive the best possible care."

When they married in 2011, they asked that those wishing to give them wedding presents donate instead to a fund for 26 charities, many supporting disadvantaged children.

Kate has become such an icon that the fashion industry has come to refer to the trend as ‘the Kate effect.’ The Duchess' baby was expected to follow her success. 
Before leaving St Mary hospital, George was wrapped in a printed white aden+anais cloth (£12).
This swaddling muslin is already sold out.  
The design was white with pale green birds, named "Sweet Bird Print".
It's sold in a pack of four (£ 44.95). 
The other swaddles are decorated with elephants, giraffes and monkeys.

Not only the swaddle but also the christening shawl is sold out. GH Hurt & Son Ltd sent to Kate and William one of their £45 merino shawls. It's identical to one baby William was wrapped in when he left the hospital.

Did you know? Curiosity about the Royal World

  
It's a royal custom that a potential king cannot travel on the same plane as another potential heir for safety reasons, so that in case something happens there will still be a person to take on royal governance.
However, that is generally ignored especially when one is a baby like George.  
It's not a cast-iron rule but it's a necessity for security reasons.
During a visit to Australia, Diana and William flew on one plane while Charles and Harry were on another.
There was only one exception to that rule and that was when they flew back home on the same plane to arrive on time for the Queen Mother's funeral.

E' abitudine dei reali che un potenziale re non possa viaggiare sullo stesso aereo di un altro erede al trono per motivi di sicurezza, così che nel caso in cui succeda qualcosa ci sia ancora una persona che possa prendere le redini del potere.
Comunque questo non avviene quando si ha a che fare con bambini piccoli come George.
Non è una regola ferrea ma una necessità per motivi di sicurezza.
Durante una visita in Australia, Diana e William erano in volo su un aereo mentre Charles e Harry su un altro.
C'è stata una sola eccezione a questa regola, cioè quando nel volo di ritorno verso casa si trovarono tutti sullo stesso aereo, in modo di arrivare in tempo al funerale della madre della regina.

Outside St Mary's hospital Kate does look radiant and William looks cute and a bit nervous holding the baby.
Kate wore a polka dot blue dress Jenny Packham (she's a fan of the British designer).
The piece was a bespoke private commission made specifically for the Duches, so it will be unavailable to buy.
Comparisons have been made to Princess Diana: she also opted for a polka dot dress when she held William 31 years ago in the same place.
Her hair was perfectly styled, thanks to her hairdresser, and she had applied her black eyeliner.
I loved that Kate didn't hide her bump, she shows what a real mum looks like.
Too many celebrities try to appear skinny and perfect postpartum.
William wore a casual blue shirt, perfectly matching Kate's dress.

Fuori dall'ospedale St Mary, Kate era assolutamente raggiante e William carino e un po' nervoso mentre teneva il bambino.
Kate indossava un vestito celeste a pois di Jenny Pacham ( è una fan sfegatata della stilista britannica).
L'abito è stato fatto su commissione per la Duchessa, quindi non è disponibile sul mercato.
Sono stati fatti paragoni con la principessa Diana, perché anche lei optò per un vestito a pois quando teneva tra le braccia William 31 anni fa nello stesso identico posto.
I capelli di Kate erano perfetti come sempre, grazie alla sua parrucchiera personale.
Come makeup ha applicato come al solito l'eyeliner nero.
Mi è piaciuto troppo che Kate non abbia nascosto la pancia perché ha mostato com'è una vera neomamma.
Troppe celebrità cercano di apparire magrissime e perfette subito dopo il parto.
William invece ha indossato una camicia celeste (le maniche erano arrotolate), che si abbinava perfettamente al vestito di Kate.
