The movie titled "Diana-the legend is never the whole story" follows the final years of Princess Diana before her tragic car accident in Paris. The film will go on general release in the UK on September 20 and screenings at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Il film intitolato "Diana-la leggenda non è mai l'intera storia" segue gli ultimi anni della Principessa Diana prima del suo tragico incidente automobilistico a Parigi.
Il film verrà trasmesso nel Regno Unito il 20 settembre (in Italia ad ottobre) e al Toronto International Film Festival.
The actress said: "I don't look like Lady D and I'm certainly not impersonating her. I'm hoping to catch the essence of her.I was nervous going into it and tried my best to say no a couple of times but I wasn’t at
peace with that. I guess I wanted to do it for all the reasons I was against it. The idea of doing this transformation and telling the story of someone who is wildly famous, albeit doing it in a sensitive way. She is a fascinating woman with a fascinating story that obviously ended in such tragedy.
She encompassed so many things in a woman. She is like Marilyn Monroe. She wasn’t overtly sexual like that but she had this wonderful warmth and charisma and vulnerability. She had strength and beauty and grace.She also had problems. Someone like her could not make a move without planning it within an inch of her life. It creates a lonely existence and a paranoid state of mind."
L'attrice racconta: "Non assomiglio a Lady D e sicuramente non ho cercato di impersonarla. Spero invece di essere riuscita a catturare la sua essenza. Ero ansiosa e preoccupata di farlo e ho provato diverse volte a dire di no ma non mi sentivo in pace con me stessa. Credo che ho voluto farlo per i motivi per cui ero a sfavore. L'idea di fare questa trasformazione e raccontare la storia di qualcuno così famoso universalmente, anche se ho cercato di farlo con sensibilità. Lei è una donna affascinante con una storia altrettanto affascinante che ovviamente finisce in tragedia. Abbracciava tante qualità in una donna. E' come Marilyn Monroe. Non era così sessualmente aperta ma aveva calore, carisma e vulnerabilità. Aveva forza, grazia e bellezza. Certo, aveva anche problemi. Una come lei non poteva fare un passo senza averlo pianificato. Questo crea una esistenza solitaria e uno stato di mente fatto di paranoie".
