Kate's complete Malta itinerary

EN. On September 20-21 Kate will be in Malta for her first solo foreign tour.
Kate will undertake some 10 engagements during the visit to mark Malta's 50th anniversary of independence.

Event 1: San Aton Palace, Call on the President of Malta, where the Duchess will be staying.

The Duchess will view a re-enactment of an historical event – the inspection of the fort and garrison by the Grand Bailiff of the Order of the Knights of St John. A variety of military drills will be displayed.

The Duchess will attend a church service. She will later view the two Caravaggios in the Cathedral Museum.

Event 7: Access Centre in Vittoriosa
The Duchess will visit Agenzija Zghazagh (Agency for Youth), a government agency which runs a number of initiatives for young people. HRH will hear about the work of the agency from the young people who use the centre and their support workers.

The Duchess will take a short walk through the town square. She will then be taken to the Church of St. Lawrence to view Maltese art before leaving for the harbour.

William, Kate and Harry at Charlie Gilkes' wedding in Italy

EN. According to Vanity Fair, the royal trio will be guests at the wedding in September.
Charlie Gilkes, who was once romantically linked to Kate's sister, Pippa Middleton, knows the Princes from their days at Eton.

IT. Secondo Vanity Fair, il trio reale sarà ospite a settembre al matrimonio.
Charlie Gilkes, che una volta era romanticamente collegata alla sorella di Kate, Pippa Middleton, conosce la principessa dai tempi di Eton. 

 

Kate introduces George to playground built in Princess Diana's memory

EN. Last week Kate was spotted with George on the "beach" in the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Playground in Kensington Gardens.
 "It was lovely seeing them play together in the sand. They stayed for about 15 minutes," I am told.
"They had three protection officers with them but Kate seemed oblivious to anyone except her gorgeous baby enjoying himself."
The playground was built to commemorate Diana's love of children. Its theme is based on the story of Peter Pan as it occupies the site of a previous playground funded by the author of the children's classic, JM Barrie.
There are six play areas, a pirate ship which George can clamber over, a wigwam camp with teepees, toys and play sculptures but best of all it is in the north west corner of Kensington Gardens so probably visible from George's nursery window.

IT.  La scorsa settimana Kate è stata avvistata con George sulla spiaggia del parcogiochi dove si trova il memorial di Diana, principessa del Galles, nei giardini di Kensington.
"E'  stato bello vederli giocare insieme nella spiaggia. Sono stati quindici minuti circa", mi è stato detto.
"Avevano tre responsabili della protezione con loro ma Kate sembrava ignara di loro, pensava solo a godersi il suo bel bambino".
Il parcogiochi  era stato costruito per commemorare l'amore di Diana per i bambini.
Il tema è basato sulla storia di Peter Pan, visto che occupa il terrirorio di un precedente parcogiochi finanziato dall'autore del classico per bambini, JM Barrie.
Ci sono sei aree di gioco, una nave pirata che George può scavalcare, un campo di capanne con tende, giochi e sculture con cui giocare  ma il pezzo migliore è l'angolo a nord ovest dei Kensington Garden, che probabilmente si vede dalla finestra della nursery di George.

William back to flying

EN. After a year of transition, William has decided to return to flying.
He will begin a full-time job as a helicopter pilot with the East Anglian Air Ambulance in spring 2015.
William starts as co-pilot but, after training, will fly as a helicopter commander - he will donate his salary in full to charity. 
Training for the ATPL (H) will culminate in 14 examinations and a flight test.
William’s air ambo job will be main occupation, but his roster will take into account duties he’ll undertake on behalf of The Queen. What this all means is a Cambridge family move soon to Amner Hall - close to Duke’s work & Kate’s patronages, and away from press.”
 While on duty he could take part in anything from no operations to nine or 10 flights a day, according to Gerry Hermer, an aviation consultant for the charity.

Road traffic collisions make up a large proportion of the charity's work but other emergencies, including heart attacks, sporting injuries and other accidents are also common.

The Duke of Cambridge is hugely motivated by the idea of being able to help people in difficult and challenging situations. The air ambulance service does truly outstanding work and the Duke of Cambridge wants to make his own contribution to it.
William will also become the first direct heir to the throne to become a PAYE employee. 
William's annual salary will be around £40,000 a year,but after paying tax & national insurance he will donate his take home pay to charity.
What's also significant is that William will be tied into a 2 year minimum contact following training and would like to stay on for longer.
That means William will not become full time working royal until he is at least 35 - when the Queen will be 91 and the Duke of Edinburgh 96.

Questo lavoro sarà la principale occupazione ma la sua lista comprenderà anche i doveri reali a fianco della regina.
Questo vuol dire che la famiglia si sposterà presto ad Amner Hall- vicino al lavoro del duca e ai patrocini di Kate, e lontano dalla stampa.
Mentre è in servizio potrà prendere parte a qualsiasi cosa, dai 9 ai 10 voli al giorno, secondo Gerry Hermer, un consulente dell'aviazione per la beneficenza.
Gli incidenti sulla strada fanno parte di una grande proporzione del lavoro di beneficenza ma altre emergenze, inclusi infarti, infortuni sportivi e altri incidenti sono comuni.

Questo significa che William non diventerà un reale che lavora a tempo pieno fino a quando non avrà 35 anni - quando la regina avrà 91 anni e il duca di Edimburgo 96 anni.

EN. William, Kate and Harry planted their own ceramic poppies at the Tower of London today.
This sea of blood-red was created to remember the Great War dead.
Each of the 888,246 flowers is a tribute to every life lost by the British or colonial forces in the conflict.
The last poppy will be planted on November 11, symbolically marking the end of the WW1 in 1918.

IT. Oggi William, Kate e Harry hanno piantato i loro papaveri in ceramica alla torre di Londra.
Questo mare di sangue rosso è stato creato per ricordare i morti della grande guerra.
Ognuno di questi 888,246 fiori è un tributo a ogni vita persa dagli inglesi o dalle forze coloniali nel conflitto.
L'ultimo papavero sarà piantato l'11 Novembre, che simbolicamente segna la fine della prima guerra mondiale nel 1918.

William and Kate in Belgium for WW1 commemorations

EN. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Harry, King Felipe, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde will commemorate WW I in Belgium today.
On their arrival, William laid  a poppy wreath at the British memorial away from the main ceremony. 

IT.  Oggi in Belgio il duca e la duchessa di Cambridge, il principe Harry, il re Felipe, il re Philippe e la regina Mathilde commemoreranno la prima guerra mondiale.

EN. Kate wore an Alexander McQueen coat dress, LK Bennett heels and a pale hat by Jane Taylor, while William wore the Queen's jubilee medals.  

IT. Kate indossava un abito cappotto Alexander McQueen, scarpe LK Bennett e un cappellino di Jane Taylor, mentre William indossava le medaglie del giubileo della regina. 

EN. William said: " We were enemies more than once in the last century. Today we're friends and allies.

EN.  Following the ceremony a luncheon was held at Prince- Bishop's Palace.

EN. In the afternoon William and Kate were joined by Prince Harry, and they travelled to Mons. 

The threesome attended a reception and viewed pictures and exhibits at the Mons Town Hall.
